We are looking for:

Administrative Assistant (part‑time, permanent) for the Research Department “Machine Learning in Chemistry”

Start date: as soon as possible, by mutual agreement.

• General secretarial and administrative duties for the Research Department, including organising business trips for group members.
• Technical and organisational support for meetings and small events (room bookings, catering coordination, participant communication).
• Maintaining regular contact with the local administrative units of the Max Planck Institute and the general administration of the Max Planck Society.
• Local administrative support for visitors and new group members (e.g., hiring-related processes in coordination with administration and assistance in finding accommodation).
• Reporting to the Scientific Coordinator of the Department.

• Completed vocational training as an office administrator or comparable qualification, or a completed bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or initial professional experience in an assistant, office management, or administration role, ideally in an academic or research environment.
• Fluency in written and spoken German and English.
• Excellent organisational skills, a strong eye for detail, and a reliable, deadline-oriented way of working.
• Confident use of common office software and online tools; openness to participating in and organising online meetings.
• A pronounced service orientation, strong communication skills, and a cooperative team spirit.
